Who we are
Clique is operated by Kaypixel Web Service, Lagos, Nigeria ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for accounts created directly on clique.kweb.name.ng. Where a school or institution subscribes and enrols its own students, the school is the controller for its students' data and we process it on the school's instructions.
What we collect

We do not collect card numbers — card and USSD payments are handled by the payment provider. We do not sell data and we do not show advertising.
Lawful basis
- Contract — to provide the service you or your school signed up for.
- Legitimate interest — security logs, fraud prevention and improving reliability.
- Consent — where required, including consent from a parent or guardian for students under 18 (see below). You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation — keeping financial records.
Students under 18
Many Clique students are minors. Schools and teachers who invite students under 18 confirm that they have obtained any consent from a parent or guardian that the law requires. We collect only what is needed to run a lesson — name, email and classroom activity — and never use student data for marketing. A parent or guardian may contact us to access or delete their child's data.
AI features and third parties
When a teacher uses an AI tool, the text they enter is sent to an external AI model provider to generate the result. The provider may process that text outside Nigeria. For this reason do not enter students' personal details into AI tools. Results are cached on our servers for 30 days so repeated requests are not resent.
Other service providers we use: a payment processor for online payments, Google Fonts for typefaces (your browser requests fonts from Google's servers), and our own email server for messages. Apart from the AI provider and payment processor, Clique's data is stored on servers we operate ourselves.
How long we keep it
- Account data: while the account is active, and deleted within 30 days of a verified deletion request.
- Attendance, quiz results and whiteboards: for the life of the class, then 12 months after the class or account is deleted, unless a school instructs otherwise.
- AI results cache: 30 days.
- Server logs: 90 days.
- Contact messages: 24 months.
- Invoices and payment records: 6 years, as required for tax.
Security
All traffic uses HTTPS and secure WebSockets. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes. Sign-in sessions use random tokens that expire. Access to production servers is limited to Kaypixel staff who need it. If a breach affecting your data occurs, we will notify you and the Nigeria Data Protection Commission as the law requires.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you may ask us to:
- tell you what data we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct anything inaccurate;
- delete your data, subject to legal record-keeping;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- send your data to you in a portable format;
- withdraw consent you have given.
Email info@kweb.name.ng with the subject "Data request". We respond within 30 days. If you are a student enrolled by a school, we may forward your request to that school. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that affects you, we will post the new version here and notify account holders by email at least 14 days before it takes effect.
